2 schicke kurze Animationsvideos über Caminandes das Lama. Gemacht wurde das Ganze mit der freien 3D-Grafiksoftware Blender, wo ja immer wieder sehr schöne Animationsfilme rausfallen. Am bekanntesten dürfte Big Buck Bunny sein, den man sich an der Stelle auch noch mal ansehen kann.

Superflow, the Bachelor Thesis I completed in July, 2010, takes you on an audio-visual journey into the world of Digital Harmony. Superflow is an algorithm I discovered on October 23rd, 2009, which changes the position of objects and their relationship to each other. Superflow can be initiliazed by rotating all objects after setting up a parent-child hierarchy with one pivot point. My thesis introduces the discovery of the Superflow algorithm, a newly created formula Polarflow (based on the Superformula by Johan Gielis and Bert Berinckx), and a newly designed mathematical framework Polarflow Fundamentals. Polarflow Fundamentals is the foundation and combination of these formulas, and can help us understand the long journey that the theorem of pythagoras has taken. In combination with the Superflow algorithm, possibilities have become endless. Superflow and the mathematical formulas have all been combined in a unique and custom developed particle software, Superflow System. Not only that, a new and maybe forgotten approach to visual art is proposed, Viusic. Inspired by the work of John and James Whitney to find harmony in visual art, I tried to continue their quest by introducing new perspectives to this exciting and forgotten field. What music is to sound is viusic to light. Harmony is not just audible, it is visible.

This project explores the invisible terrain of WiFi networks in urban spaces by light painting signal strength in long-exposure photographs.
A four-metre long measuring rod with 80 points of light reveals cross-sections through WiFi networks using a photographic technique called light-painting.

An Audiovisual Animation About The Making Of A Record
by Roman Tönjes & Lukas LossDer animierte Kurzfilm “To The Beat” ist das Ergebnis einer Zusammenarbeit der FH Düsseldorf mit dem Musiklabel Desolat und entstand in den Jahren 2009-2010. Der Film erzählt die Geschichte eines Musikstücks, vom Aufnehmen der Musik über das Plattenlabel, das Presswerk, den Plattenladen bis hin zum Club, in dem es gespielt wird. In dieser Handlung, welche im Zeitraum eines Tages stattfindet, wird die Herstellung, Verbreitung und das Auflegen von Schallplatten filmisch inszeniert – einem Medium, welches bei Desolat und in der gesamten elektronischen Musik eine wesentliche Rolle spielt.
Der Plot ist stark geprägt von Elementen des Düsseldorfer Stadtbildes, welche sich fast in jeder Szene des Films wiederfinden: Die Rheinpromenade, das Drei-Scheiben-Haus, der Plattenladen Voices Records, der Salon des Amateurs etc.
So bildet diese Stadt die räumliche Grundlage des Films und es wird eine Verbindung des Labels mit seiner Heimatstadt hergestellt. Auch das Düsseldorfer Büro des Labels findet sich fast originalgetreu in einer Szene des Films wieder.
Der Animationsfilm basiert auf unzähligen Fotos, welche zunächst freigestellt und daraufhin im digitalen Raum dreidimensional angeordnet und animiert wurden. Eine virtuelle Kamera führt über die gesamte Länge des Films ohne Schnitt durch die so erzeugten Landschaften und Räume, begleitet von dem Track “Mama Coca” von Jay Haze im Remix von SIS (DESOLAT005), welcher für diesen Film sehr stark gekürzt wurde.
Jede Bewegung von Kamera und Objekten ist exakt auf den Rhythmus und die Bestandteile des Tracks abgestimmt, ebenso wie die einzelnen Etappen der Handlung der übergeordneten Struktur der Musik entsprechen.

Akte CCC – Der Chaos Computer Club:
Es geschah auf dem Höhepunkt der Debatte um biometrische Datenerfassung: Der Chaos Computer Club (CCC) legte seiner Vereinszeitschrift “Die Datenschleuder” ein biometrisches Sammelalbum für die Fingerabdrücke „schnüffelfreudiger“ Politiker bei. Und das erste Feld füllte zum Start gleich ein prominenter Fingerabdruck: Der des damaligen Innenministers, Dr. Wolfgang Schäuble. Den Abdruck hatten CCC-Aktivisten von einem Wasserglas genommen, das Schäuble bei einer öffentlichen Veranstaltung benutzt hatte. So wollte man der Debatte um die biometrische Kompletterfassung der Bundesbürger eine konkretere Form geben.
Noch bis in die 80er Jahre galt der Chaos Computer Club als ein Haufen verrückter Freaks – von vielen belächelt, teils als kriminell verschrien. Die Zeiten haben sich geändert: Heute legen die obersten Richter des Bundesverfassungsgerichts wert auf ihre Expertise, sie sind Teilnehmer bei Hintergrundgesprächen in Berlin und sorgen mit spektakulären Aktionen für Öffentlichkeit. Sie haben heute den Ruf wachsamer Streiter für Demokratie und Datenschutz in der Informationsgesellschaft. Die Bedeutung des CCC ist weltweit einmalig. Zwar gibt es beispielsweise auch in Holland, Österreich, der Schweiz oder den USA Zusammenschlüsse von Hackern – doch diese sind weit weniger vernetzt als der CCC, weniger politisch und bei weitem nicht so präsent und aktiv in der Öffentlichkeit wie hierzulande. In den USA ist das Image der Hacker zudem äußerst schlecht, man sieht sie primär als Kriminelle, die Millionenschäden anrichten. In Deutschland dagegen ist der CCC ein bei der Bundesregierung eingetragener Lobbyverein, dessen Stimme ernst genommen wird.
